2/27/2023 0 Comments Android smart switch![]() ![]() I think I read Google is trying to do similar stuff, but I'm guessing that will only be implemented in their Pixel phones. They're expensive and I'm not buying an $800 phone every 2 years.Īpple does have some features that are appealing to me - fall/crash detection, etc. I'm one of those people that buys phones and use them for 7+ years as long as I can. I use a Garmin smart watch for exercising stuff, and it works with my phone, so that's nice, too.Īside from not having the ability to use SD cards, one of the reasons I wasn't keen on Apple is because of that planned obsolescence thing they used to do - slowing old phones down so people would have to buy new ones. I feel like that's the biggest "pro" that my phone has going for it. (In the past, friends have lamented over having to delete pictures, etc to free up space on their iPhones, which sounds unappealing) I literally have a 1TB card in my Galaxy now, so if I want a million pictures of my dog on my phone, it's not a problem. One of the main reasons that I prefer to stick with Androids is because many of the phones have the ability to use SD cards for additional memory. All carriers have Apple now (obv) but I've always stuck with Android bc that's what I used before and bc they have some advantages that I like. In the beginning of smart phones, I was an Android gal because my carrier didn't have Apple phones at the time (I'm an "elder Millennial"). ![]()
